This technology creates unprecedented opportunities for adaptive, empathetic interfaces. Imagine productivity apps that suggest breaks when they detect stress, or learning platforms that adjust difficulty based on cognitive load. The potential for genuinely helpful, responsive experiences is enormous.
But biometric interfaces also raise profound privacy and ethical concerns. Emotional and physiological data is among the most sensitive information we possess. How do we design interfaces that use this data helpfully without being invasive or manipulative?
