Midyear is a good time to calibrate. The team has enough shipped work to see patterns, but there is still time to adjust the shape of the year.

I like to compare stated goals with actual interface behavior. Did we make the product simpler, or just add more paths? Did the design system reduce decisions, or move them somewhere else?

This is not a performance review. It is a product reading. The interface shows what the team truly prioritized.

A useful calibration gives the next few months a clearer design direction. It makes the work feel intentional again.
